i highly doubt theres is any difference with having them both o-ringed rather than just the head especialy with head studs

welp i put the engine together and i can be certain there both done and yes lamar put the rings in. i talked with him for about a month on and off about what was best for me and what i wanted to do he assured me i would like having both the head and block ringed. they have done a pile of trucks this way and say it works like a champ

i ya if you have you block out i would say go for it for assureance, but to me it seems like a waist of time since head o-rings and studs would hold just fine, but i do have to say that if you ever blow a head gasket you have may more problems then just a head gasket issue

orings and head studs are supose to be good to around 65-70 pounds have the head and block both done and having stud is suppose to be good to 100 pounds or thats what i was told

oh no you can easily get more out of an o-ringed head and studs. studs alone can handle 60psi with a normal head gasket, with a marine even more

i want to stud and o-ring my head, can any machine shope cut the grooves? cause there is one here in town that might be able to do it, if so what kind of ring will hold the most boost?

No every shop can not cut the rings, You'll have to find someone with some BHJ tools.
Who ever cuts your rings will use there wire of choice (according to their cutting head) and the depth of the groove.

if you dont know a shop i sent mine to industrial injection and had them do it, very profesional job there in salt lake city utah, since im close it was farily cheep

Olee Poole did the o-rings on my 24v head (he uses the BHJ o-ring tool), never had any problems with it.

I am going to use a isky cutting tool and do my 12v block, along with .041 safety wire.
