you got a dyno sheet i may be wrong but those numbers seem kinda high for what you have done
thats what the papers said. i have owned the truck for about 2 years but it has been turned up bye 3 other people not including me so am an not sure what is all really been done to it what i said is what i know was done for sure. Also before i did anything to my truck it would turn over 4k rpms but my buddy took the gov spring out and it was shimmed so we put a diff spring in it and took the shims out now it will only turn about 3,600 rpm
taken from a thread on another forum,,,but what can I do to my cummins to make power,,,without spendin a ton of money,,,
grind your stock plate to a 0 plate, go to PDR Diesel Performance: 4000 RPM Govenor Spring Kit and order yourself a set of 4k governor springs, set your timing to 16.5* then go to 370 marine cummins injectors City Diesel - Diesel Performance and buy a set of 370 marin injectors, and at that point you will be making good power without spending a ton of money, but your stock clutch will hate you so will need to upgrade that. once that is taken care off your will probably get sick of the high egt's because your poor little stock turbo has too much fuel, so you need to upgrade your turbo, and exhaust manifold depending on how rusty it is, or if it has stretched at all, so $2000 later you have great power, but you did end up spending around around 5k depending on if you had to pay someone to do all your work or if you did it all yourself or had friends help. but if you wanted to cut corners and don't tow at all, just a 0,10,100 plate. 4000rpm governor spring kit, and a set of bosch marine 370's and having the truck timed to 16.5* will give you around 400hp +/-25 depending on how everything is setup and what pump your truck has. good luck, and be happy you don't have an auto. With my truck bone stock, i put just a 0 plate full forward and i made a lock up switch and my stock torque converter couldn't even handle the extra 120 or 130hp and $5200 and 2 yrs later and i have a fully built transmission.
