Snow brush is what I use... Stick it between the pedal and the power seat and use the seat switch to adjust RPM's... Why would anyone want MORE electronic crap on there truck? All the stuff ever does is fail.
I have taken every step to make sure a short can't disable my truck. Pull to kill cable, posi-lok front 4x4, and a quick starter connect in case my solenoid ever fails (although I'd have to crawl under the truck to do it.

For about $40 I can get a custom made 3way idle/throttle cable made here from one of our vendors - All I need to know is the length you want.
It has a solid wire in the middle and the **** has a button, it twists, and you can pull/push it as well. You can twist to slowly idle up or down, you can pull to position and it stays where you release it, and the button on it releases it to reset it at the default position.
It is stiff enough that you could position it to slide out to hit the throttle linkage to bump up your minimum idle without a static connection holding it in one position.
I will post photos of one here at our yard hooked up to a big pump motor where you can see how it works. looks really nice too.

well I'm doing the same as most of you.. An ax handle broke in 2, and use my electric 3rd gen seat to set my RPM's. I've seen some cable set ups and just a solinoid. These are good.. I'm just looking to make it adjustable so i can set my RPM's. I'm not sure how I'm gonna go about settin it up, but if I figure something out I'll keep ya'll posted. Any other ideas are welcome in the mean time. Thanks to everyone for the feed back!

I have tried about 3 different kinds of solenoids for high idle with mixed success. As Doc said, the holding power is not quite enough with all the throttle springs in place. I had to disconnect a couple but eventually I had to resolder the solenoids about 10 times each as the vibration breaks all the little solder connections to the coils. I tried to hot glue, rubber dip and epoxy the coils with no difference.
My latest high idle was a vacuum pot I have from a compressor system I had on an old service truck of mine. The vacuum pot is not even strong enough to pull it on its own, but will hold it on high idle. Now the problem is that the chain I have keeps breaking off.
Now I am back to using 9/16 instrument tubing between the seat and pedal...
