The BHAF is a lot different than a cold air intake. Without a heat shield, the filter basically sucks hot air from the turbine housing, as it sits pretty close to it. The cold air kits generally have an enclosed box where the filter sits, and suck cooler air in from the front of the vehicle. The BHAF is an improvement over the 6"x6" (est. measurements) square filter, but I don't think it holds a candle to a true cold air system. I run a BHAF on my truck, simply for the fact of more filter area, availability locally and no cleaning. Personal choice, though.

As for the GSK, some trucks seem to govern at 2300 (mine), while I have rode in some that seem to start cutting the fuel back somewhere around 2500. The 3k springs will make the truck come alive. You will notice the benefits of the power pack greatly with governor springs.

Depending on where you buy your stuff from, check and see if they have the KDP kit available. You might be able to save on shipping. It's almost as important as gauges, if yours hasn't been done yet.

It is a 50/50 that it will come out. Mine had a 150,000 on it and the timing housing and kdp were all lose. I had to retourque everything.
