Default 3k GSK install

Okay - I have a couple of questions.

I JUST found my 3k GSK in my Garage after throwing it to the side for over a year... I am going to order some 60lb VS's. Here is my question:

I ordered these from City Diesel... can I buy the $15.99 4k upgrade springs and be sure that they will work with these 3k's?
I noticed PureDieselPower, CumminsDieselPower, PureCummins, etc. all offer this and it all seems to be the same. All Inner Springs offered seem to be made by Bosch from those that list that... For $16 it seems to be worth the risk.

Is the 3k a notible difference? And would this be the time to adjust the AFC bar?

I tried to send you a PM but I only had 9 posts and must have 10 to PM...

So... this is Number 10. Ha!

Now that I installed my #10 I'm thinking about grinding my #11 to something... any suggestions.

Also I have started to have Fuel Shut-Off Solenoid problems... but I steamed my engine the same night I installed the #10 so not sure if it is my Arm that somehow has made my FSOS work only occasionally - now almost never. Well - it has to be pulled up to start but shuts down fine. One unique thing is if I pump my peddle to get it started instead of popping the hood and pulling it up... my power is dead flat if I pump the peddle to start... That makes me think my arm is not hitting right without monkey-ing with the FSOS.

Any suggestions on that?

The 3k springs will make a noticeable difference over the stock ones in there now. And yes, the only difference between the 3k and 4k springs is the small middle one.

Yes it did make a difference. I put a straight PTO cable to my fuel shutoff and realized I had some funny business with my solenoid that was only supplying half of what I needed. Now I have a 5 speed rocket!

My 4k upgrade will be going in hopefully this weekend. Then I have to get serious about the Death Wobble and stop worrying about G-Forces.

Seems like I had that problem. The solenoid was only coming halfway up and causing some problems. Glad to hear it's working good. I love GSKs.
