I was able to run 295/75-16 on a stock wheel. (BFG) I believe they come in at around 33"
I towed with them and ran them into the ground. The only problem I had before replacement, was the sidewall belts started to break down. They developed ripples from the belts snapping in different spots. That was pretty much end of life for them anyway.

I was never able to find a 35" thin enough. The 295's were still D rated.
