So Cummins decided that instead of ordering the ones I specified. . .they'd order the ones listed for my truck from factory, since they have my engine serial on file. Those idjits wouldn't know how to order something that doesn't pop up on a friggin computer window with a neon sign saying "THIS IS OEM FOR THIS ENGINE!" if I gave them letter by letter instructions and part numbers. . .oh wait. . .I've done that.

So. . .2 more weeks I'll wait. . .I guess. . .
Just for kicks, how hard are the delivery valves to change, and would a set of injectors from a 215 truck, in combination with a set of appropriately sized delivery valves and appropriate boost pressure, get me to my goal of 225-250 rwhp?

There are so many ways to add power to a 6bt, and I've spent so long looking at nothing but reliability/fixing this POS (yes, it gets called that), that I really don't know what the shortest, simplest route is. I'd like to avoid delving too far into the P7100, or pissing about with the AFC and whatnot. cocking up a 1400 dollar pump because I ground something down too far or whatnot is not my idea of good mechanics.
Also, most pump mods I have seen result in a ton of smoke. and smoke is my enemy. If it is not possible to get what I want without smoke, I'll simply go as far as i can and live with it.

These pumps are super simple once you know what does what ... I have several guys who make 600 Hp and there truck gives a puff @ take off and then there gone !!!!

That being said .. Yes the DV's will give your injector a better shot at making the most of each pop of the injector ..

When it comes to the smoke factor .. thats tunable and needs to be done .. once you swap the injectors....it WILL SMOKE !!!!

If you wanna know how to tune the AFC there are several Viedo's on YouTube that are quite helpful .. and there are several Vids on the P7100 .. Its avtuall quite simple just complex in operation ... If you can build an Engine .. you can play with the p7100 .. not hard to figure out ..

This will shed some light on what it takes .. there are several .. I just picked one that seemed a bit more lamens terms ..

Keep us posted .. Pm if you need help ..

thanks.

It'll be a while now before I make any more big jumps in progress. Trade school is coming up and I am preparing for winter too (being a carpenter means that winter time is slow time)

maybe I'll finally make my mahogany dash bezel that I've had a rough print made for for about 6 months now. . .
Or maybe the ebony shifter handle I wanted to make. . .
