what are maxed out EGT's? people seem to be afraid of 1000* anymore???
turbo will depend
do you want to do compounds in the future or stay single
what size injectors do you plan on running
do you tow
end HP goal
i ran a stock turbo for a long time with lots of fuel. it would get hot but i wouldnt call it maxed out by any means

I max my 1500F egt gauge out. no towing would like around 500 to 600 hp. dont know what injectors. would like to stay single turbo. Trucks used as a dd and track every now and again.

again will very depending on set-up. cam gov springs head work injector size overall weight of vehicle. i super b special is a pretty nice turbo for a recreational truck. can still tow light. it will smoke if fueled properly down low truck will have a very enjoyable mid and top end in i mild set-up. more lag than you have now you will def have to wait for this turbo to come alive but not forever.
64mm is going to be laggy 2000-2100rpm. 5x.014 is a good match. If you want smaller consider a 63/68/12 or 14 or a killer B 63/65/14 for faster spool up and some 5x.013 We got a pallet of killer B turbos in yesterday and have 5x.013 in stock.
