Default Boost Gauge

I just put a AFE cold air intake and a BD boost elbow on my 96 cummins. Should I have put on a boost gauge too? How long can I go before I put a gauge on or should I take the elbow off until I get a gauge? Any help would be good, thanks.

I would put one on so i could see the difference in psi when you adjust the elbow. It is not going to hurt anything not having one assuming thats all you have done to the truck. Just get guages before you start doing anything else just to be safe and do it right.
