Has anyone had a problem with their ignition staying active after turning it off and removing the key. At first when mine started doing it all I had to do was take my index finger and tap the ignition a couple time and it would cut off. Now it won't turn off so I got so frustrated after working on my injection pump in this heat I ripped off the top plate of the steering column cover and it stopped. Come to find out there is a little box to the left of the steering column and when I tapped it it would turn ignition on and tap it again it would turn off. I guess I need to see if it is a replaceable part and get a new cover while I am at it.

 

I've had intermittent issues with this, so great to know. I've also (very, very occassionally) had issues with the horn etc. going crazy when the key is pulled, and everything I've tried short of pulling the battery refuses to stop it. Wondering if it is the same thing (and yes, I checked the panic button).
