Default cracked injector nozzle

Can anyone tell me what some of the symptoms are with a cracked injector nozzle.
My 03 starts fine cold or warm, no noticeable smoke, and a fuel return test shows correct. but it seems like i'm getting crappy mileage, like 12-13 mpg driving in town with a light foot.
No mods to the motor yet.
I fear something might be up and don't want to torch a hole in a piston or scar a cylinder.
Thanks

MOST of the time not all the time it will make oil. If somthins wrong with the injectors or any fuel components you should be able to tell by driving. it will spit and sputter. Your crappy mpg might just be from the winter fuel that your getting
