Default fuel injector pressure

i am needing to change out the injectors and i know how but the question is do i have to release the pressure in the lines??? i know that they get up to about 23,500psi while running but does it drop off when its shut off? i just dont want to cause any injuries. thanks!

the rail pressure is dumped out of the system allmost as fast as the engine stops spinning after turning the key off so you have nothing to worry about
