Hey there, new to the site and new to diesel trucks, I'm going to look at an 2004 2500 crewcab short box with the cummins and an auto tranny in next day or so, I was just wondering if there is any problem areas on the truck motor or drive train I should be looking for and by the way it's got 108,xxx miles on it, any feed back will be greatly appreciated

spend extra time checkin the tranny for sure.

 

Check the suspension. Ball Joints, Track Bar, and such. Check the transmission fluid, brakes, and I'd even check the fuel filter.
