Default 03 fueling issues

I bought a used 2003 3500 cummins with an auto. I didn't notice it at the time but the truck came with an adjustable 6 position switch on it. I put a smarty s06 POD on it and the truck doesn't seem like it's making that much power and it doesn't smoke at all. I have it set on lvl 9 and there is no smoke. I'm wondering if a chip could have been left on the truck along with the module. Will the smarty not override a chip? How can I check or get it removed?

You could start by tracing the wiring from the switch in the dashboard. That would be the easiest, and cheapest place to start.

I traced the chip back to the intake manifold. It was intercepting a signal from a sensor there. That was all there was, a switch plugged into the manifold. I took the switch out and plugged the sensor back in. I unhooked the batteries to see if it would reset the computer and no luck so far.
