ive been looking at fourms and on line looking to stuff for my newly bought 05 ctd and a lot of what ive seen says that the 04.5 -07 is a 5.9l 24v commonrail "600" what does the "600" mean and what makes it different from the 03-04?

 

600 means engine is rated @ 600tq stock.

ohh alright i got it, so im guessint the 04 and older isnt rated at 600tq

 

Yup, triple nickel on the HO's, 465 on the SO's I think.

Your 05 is rated at 610 TQ 325 HP.
