I've got an 04.5 Cummins 6 speed. Truck is all stock. Every so often the engine light will come on and it wont go over around 12 psi on boost, then all of a sudden it will start workin again and build around 22 psi. Its kinda erratic, sometimes I'll start it up and everything is fine, then sometimes engine light will be on and it will barely pull itself. Already changed the MAP sensor. Any ideas??

 

wastegate solinoid is probably going bad on ya, and they default to the open position which would cause the low boost

 

Yeah, thats a possibility. The code that its showing now is 0236-MAP sensor voltage too high for too long. Am I still having a MAP sensor problem?

 

Figured out the problem a couple months ago, just haven't been back on here. One of the little progs on the MAP sensor plug ins was bent and not making good contact. Just bent it back in a little with a pic and has been working great ever since
