Default Why did this happen? 03 cummins

My truck was stock when i got it and I just recently put a smarty s-06 pod in it after driving it 10k miles. Before it had the smarty it would high idle around 1k rpm when it was cold. After I downloaded the smarty it idles normal all the time. Around 750-800. Any opinions? Doesn't the smarty activate high idle? Not really a big deal, I'm just a little curious

yes the smarty does the high idle. hit your cruise control and set. it will do this even if you are up to temp.

I tried this and nothing. I turned cruise on, brought the rpms to 1000 and hit set but it doesn't do anything when I let off the gas

I tried that same thing with my 06 and nothing. May be someone could tell me if I am doing something wrong. Thanks

If it auto fast-idled, isn't that a manual-trans thing? The cruise control trick is an auto trans thing.

I recently read that the fast idle deal was missed in one of the Smarty versions, so go download the latest version of the software for your Smarty and you should have your fast idle back.

Ya your right. Its still works. I guess it just hasn't been cold enough or i didnt give it a chance to idle long enough. It automatically comes on after idling a couple minutes when its cold.

To do it manualy i think you just turn on cruise, then push set. dont touch the pedels and it should high idle. Then after you hit resume you can raise the idle to 1500 in 200rpm increments i think
