Default 05 steering box

Got a buddy with a bad steering box on his 05, he's coming over this weekend to replace it. just wondering if there is anything special about it since i haven't seen the truck to look at it yet. tool wise and what not.

Just get a big enough pitman arm puller and don't use an air gun on the new one!! If you do you can damage the settings in the gear box torque it down with the right torque!!! and use loctite also flush the old power steering fluid out use atf + 4 !!

Yup! A pitman arm puller with some NUTS is necessary.
