Should I Run 2 Cycle Oil In My Fuel?
#11
I was adding Stanadyne Performance then was told to run Marval Mystery Oil when I took it to the dealership under warranty when it kept white smoking and missing. I didn't when I saw this (I use 2-stroke oil as of now).

I haven't noticed any difference in MPG, power, etc., though- I always thought it would just lube it up a little better.

Now that was a very cool link bullet5.9!!! Thanks!!
I always wondered how they all compare... I'm an amsoil dealer so I just bought a 5 gallon bucket of the stuff.... Saves a LOT of money over buying the 16oz bottles!! I'm glad to see the stuff works pretty good!
I think 2 years from now once it's all I wont bother tho... I'll get stanadyne or one of the cheaper ones...

No, if done in the right mixture it prevents smoking.
You better read in the alternative fluid, fuel and additive section. There are bunch of 2-stroke threads, questions, and more important, you will find answers there!
Do not expect instant results- it takes it time.
Do not expect mileage gains, it's all about math. Paying a bit to protect injectors and IP or to change the complete IP. Which hurts more?
The ideal mixture is 1 :200 down to 1:250, anything more does not bring any benefits and makes the 2-stroke dealer happy.
