Mine did the same as well, did seafoam and it sort of helped but only for a little bit. It ended up being an injector.

I'm afraid of it being an injector! they're gonna get back on it today at the shop I should fine out something.

Well they got the old diesel out, new filter and still not starting? Gonna get the injectors checked next. We'll see?

Ok, mechanic called yesterday, two codes P2509 & P0191. Said he was going to continue on and let me know. Anyone seen this before?

Ok, it ended up being the injectors! she's running like a top now! hopefully i will never have to go through that again

Mine used to do that alot- miss and white smoke bad. I can't afford injectors right now, so I poured some Stanadyne performance in the tank, and it fixed it for at least 3 months now.
