Default 05 cummins .040 over

I am recently boring my cummins, i had a bunch of oil pourin out the blow by, and was wonderin if anyone had any experiences with going .040 over? Is it a good thing or bad thing? I also added in some new arp headstuds for the extra compression.

I wouldn't go .040 over if you don't have to! This will not increase your compression! Just your displacement. Not sure how that will affect your cooling system as far as being thinner in the cylinder to water jacket area. You may only need a hone with new rings. Did you already tear it apart?
