Dont think the bellhousings would be any different but from what ive seen around it isnt going to be cheep because of the computer, I beleve suncoast?? was/is working on a conversion for it and it was going to be aroun 9k with the trans. Also there isnt the aftermarket parts for them like the 48re which can be built to handle much more power for around 4k from goerend

The total cost is going to depend on what you spend for all your parts. If you can get them reasonable then it will not cost too much. If you pay full retail and then have to have all the work hired done then it might be cheaper to just have your auto 'built' for a lot of power. You just have to decide which way you want to go.

Supposedly the Common Rail 5.9L and the 6.7L have the same block and bolt patterns. I would want to know for sure before I started it though.

the computer end of it can all be solved by GOS diesel for 100 bucks and a 15 min download and the truck will run without the flash i ran mine for a year without the flash only thing i had to do was push button start, i did my whole stick swap for 3400 bucks and thats with a dd clutch and all new hydros i strongly recomend that if you want stick do it i will never own a auto diesel again
