04 won't start
yeah i bought an 04 dually in co springs and put 200 miles on it and #6 locked up, sounds to me injectors and lost compression. im putting in about 5 grand in my motor and doin labor my self. so unless you like pullin motors for practice , walk...no run away as fast as you can
ok. thanks for that. pulling the enging isn't that hard. but i don't know about you but i don't carry 5 grand in my back pocket. it's in the same boat as my stroker. it's almost due for an overhaul... but i'll drive it till it pops
ok here's what i got. i've been looking at an 04 cummins at the local dodge dealership. as of right now it won't start. and i've heard 4 different answeres from 4 different sales men. one said it had a seized engine. well it turns over. another said it was blown. another said it had a dead cylinder. and another said it had bad injectors. if it had a dead cylinder it should still sorta run right? i had a friend tell me the fuel lines could just be air logged. i'm relatively new to cummins. right now i have a 94 powerstroke that has more problems than my wallet has time for. any insight would be greatly appreciated. i just want a good idea if it's going to be a 5 minute fix or a 5 grand fix. thanks.
oh believe me im makin payments to the machine shop check by check. i blew what little i had on the truck, yeah pullin it was easy, tearin down was easy... the hard part is the memory test puttin it back together a month after it was torn down
yeah exwestracer may have a point, one real important rule to always keep in mind
