yeah i bought an 04 dually in co springs and put 200 miles on it and #6 locked up, sounds to me injectors and lost compression. im putting in about 5 grand in my motor and doin labor my self. so unless you like pullin motors for practice , walk...no run away as fast as you can

ok. thanks for that. pulling the enging isn't that hard. but i don't know about you but i don't carry 5 grand in my back pocket. it's in the same boat as my stroker. it's almost due for an overhaul... but i'll drive it till it pops

I'm by no means an expert, but the only time mine would not start (running fine, shut off, then no fire), it was the low pressure lift pump. I've heard that this problem was so common that it was a matter of when, not if, it was gonna die... Mine was fixed under warranty, so I have no idea on cost. It better be one helluva nice truck if they want 13K and it won't start! JMO...

oh believe me im makin payments to the machine shop check by check. i blew what little i had on the truck, yeah pullin it was easy, tearin down was easy... the hard part is the memory test puttin it back together a month after it was torn down

yeah exwestracer may have a point, one real important rule to always keep in mind

well i appreciate all the input from evey one but i went up there the other day an the truck was gone. so i guess it wasn't meant to be.
