Default 04 won't start

ok here's what i got. i've been looking at an 04 cummins at the local dodge dealership. as of right now it won't start. and i've heard 4 different answeres from 4 different sales men. one said it had a seized engine. well it turns over. another said it was blown. another said it had a dead cylinder. and another said it had bad injectors. if it had a dead cylinder it should still sorta run right? i had a friend tell me the fuel lines could just be air logged. i'm relatively new to cummins. right now i have a 94 powerstroke that has more problems than my wallet has time for. any insight would be greatly appreciated. i just want a good idea if it's going to be a 5 minute fix or a 5 grand fix. thanks.

well first of all geta scanner and check for codes...its not seized if it cranks. what is blown exactly? if it has a dead cylinder it should run just like . check all fuses and relays...fuel filter and cp3 altho they dont have too many problems? need some more info on what exactly its doing?

A dealer that didn't have it fixed sounds fishy! What are they asking for the truck? If it was an easy fix they would have fixed it! They are looking for a sucker to take it off their hands! Be carefull I'll lean towards the 5 to 10k fix!!

i know a guy with a good scanner. i'm going to see if he can go plug it in. the only thing is is that since it's still at the dealership i don't know if they would let me start checking out a bunch of stuff on it. but no one really specified what was blown. the guy made it sound like the whole engine. i just talked to a guy and he said the computer system needs a minimum of 9.6 volts to opperate. which makes sense sine a had to put a jump box on it.

i'm guessing you've heard of it. christophers dodge world? it's in golden colorado. but i think it's just cos they don't even know what's wrong with it. but they want 13 k for it. but in non running condition i could talk them down quite a bit...

I paid 12.5 for my 04 and it runs great-should be able to get it for 5-6k if you dont know for sure whats wrong.I think the dealer is yankin your chain-you need to pass on it.

well it ain't hard to break into the lot. they have those wood arm gates. similar to what a pasrking garage has. but according to the windsheild tag, it's been there since june. and i'm guessing there has been no one else interested in it.
