i think i have the same problem!! if i hit a bump, pot hole, bridge transition, railroad xing.... this thing will start shaking out of controll! i lock up the brakes and yank it to the shoulder. its so bad i wont let my wife drive it... hell im scared to drive it! i have replaced shocks...no change. my problem started with the addition of the 3 inch leveling spacer. at the same time i swapped to 305 tires. this thing has a loud pop as i turn the wheel at low speed or stop and is cuttin the outside of both tires but more on the right. i have spent hours under this thing with the wifey turnin the wheel back and forth with no luck findin it. all this info is great! thank all of you for sharing. your help may save my life or at least this truck.

well the first guy definately needs to check his front drive shaft imo. the lil ball wears out in there and cause a mean vibration about 55 to 70. I thought it was tires and noticed my front end toeing in just a bit so i didnt really think about it and dismissed it. But now i have to replace my transfer case seeing as how it split it into 3 peices driving down the highway the other day. The vibration gets to much for it and cracks the casing on it. I believe this is a bad problem with the dodges or it is down where i'm from. on that note i need a cheap transfer case haha.

The BFG's are junk, get rid of them. You NEED e rated tires with stuff sidewalls to take the weight or you will always have little issues like this crop up and disappear.
Toyo makes the only tire found so far that does not suffer the vibration and DW from the tire. The rest of the pieces are a different story.

The BFG's are junk, get rid of them. You NEED e rated tires with stuff sidewalls to take the weight or you will always have little issues like this crop up and disappear.

Sidewall strength, which is the key to load range, is usually the culprit in vibrations involving a tire. The tire compresses and rebounds too much with the weight then amplifies it on rough roads. Next step, DW and soiled shorts.
Only somebody that doesn't know any better and has never run the BFG's think they are excellent on a diesel. They may be just fine for the run of the mill gassers and Jeeps but they SUCK on a heavy vehicle. Been there, done that along with LOTS of disullusioned people that think a cheap D-rated tire is adequate.
BFG's have the WORST rep on a diesel of any tire out there. DW is almost always cured by ridding one self of the bad rubber. Sorry, facts is facts and that is glaring one.

I will flat out state the BFG's are NOT a good choice for a Cummins powered truck, and, the bigger the tire the exponentially worse they are. The vibrate, they DW, they cup, and they are a pain to balance and keep balanced. On a gasser they work fine, NOT on a heavy truck. Personal experience plus a LOT or corroboration from others. Swap the tires for a good e rated tire and problems gone.
The OP has a bunch of suspension upgrades, had the problem from the start, and it shows up on rough payment. Classic BFG 315 tire problems and on the verge of DW. If those tires don't balance out from the start and cause this many problems new it ain't gonna get better.
I am not saying definitively thats the whole problem but the man has done a good job of hitting the problem areas and fixing them with no resolution. Tires are not cheap but neither is chasing problems and one does NOT ever want a DW episode.
Zippy the asshat tireman is blowing smoke and trying to cover up his ignorance with personal attacks. His assinine assertions are not worth fighting over or even considering when the answer is obvious.
There, thats my help based on hard experience on a truck just like the OP's. He can decide what he wants to do. Zippy the tireman can go play with his funny rubber doughnuts elsewhere.
