stock lift pump went out
Got an early 04 2500 dodge 5.9 and today just died so I tryed to restart which it did for about 5 seconds. Took it to my mechanic and said the lift pump was out and it would be $850 to convert it to an intank lift pump. I was wondering if I could put a 150 airdog on without having a working factory lift pump. Anybody out there know what my opptions are. If not enough information let me know, tryed to keep it short and sweet.

The truck has 117000 on it and I plan on putting the stock lift pump in my self or the airdog if possible and does anybody know if that could have screwed up anything else in the fuel system

You can add an AirDog or FASS, or a number of aftermarket lift pumps...installing is easier in these early models because you don't have the in-tank pump to deal with...simply splicing lines and removing the old pump.
You can also get the stock replacement for your 04 from Geno's Garage (sorry vendors, that's the only place I know that has them). They were supposedly discontinued at Cummins.
