Default P0148 Code... Question..

I did a search, and found that a p0148 code is fuel delivery error. I was on my way to get fuel, and the truck died on me. Got it started again, and then it died. Went to the nearest gas station, got 1 gallon of diesel, and it fired up. I drove to the gas station, about 100 feet away, and put $40 in. Its running great now, but I have a check engine and the p0148 code. Can a p0148 code be thrown if I run it out of fuel? It was low, but I did not think it was out. It seems to be running just fine now, and the fuel pressure gauge is staying in the normal range. I replaced the lift pump at 22k miles with an in tank pusher pump, so I am hoping thats not the problem. The truck only has 43k on it now. Is this something I should wait out, and see if it clears itself? In other words, would running the truck out of fuel cause it to throw this code? Thanks!

I don't care for it either, but I don't have money to throw at this truck, and its still under warranty, so as long as its still under warranty, I will let the dealer pay for the new parts. Now, my next question is, does the lift pump count as a drivetrain part?

Got the truck back today.. dealer found nothing wrong with it at all.. Searched everything fuel related, and tested it all... Seems to work great. They cleared the codes, and didn't charge me anything. Seems to run great. Its a little down on power, but that might have something to do with going from BALD 265's to NEW 35x12.50x17's...
