how to deactivate "horn honks when in gear and door open"

I believe some have jumpered the two wires from the seatbelt under the drviers seat to solve the issue.
No, in gear, door open, foot OFF the brake. If you ride the brake slightly it doesn't honk.

The seat belt doesn't effect the out of park alarm.

Thanks for the information. It only makes it worse when you are in a hurry and you open the door and putting it in park and the horn goes off.

I guess we can thank all those people who leave their cars in gear and get out and end up getting run over by their own cars for this.. Then again what's going to stop a runaway cummins?

Would it be easier to jump the door ajar wires to always seem closed? Anyone see any issue with doing that?
