I picked up a stock bighorn about a month ago in Az. I use it as a work truck. I was struck by the mention of bad injector line and hope to avoid such. Did the mech give any speculation as to the cause?

It's a pretty common problem on these trucks. The bolt holding the 4th injector line bracket down backs off and causes the line to loosen up and spray diesel all over the place. Here is a link to the thread:
