torque converter lock switch
was wonderin what wire u splice into for lock up on 48re? im just runnin a straight switch, i also pulled plug off trans and it had transfluid inside of plug, dunno how, no leaks anywhere
What year is your truck...color change by years.
If you look at your plug(inside) it will have numbers stamped on it. The number 7 wire is what you want to T-tap into.
From the T-tap run a wire into your cab and solder in a 33 ohm resistor. Hook it to a SPST switch and ground the other pole of the switch under your steering column. The resistor will keep you from throwing a CEL.
In sum...T-tap into #7 wire, run wire into cab w/33 ohm resistor, attach to a SPST switch, and ground the switch to the screws under the steering column.
