#4 Injector Line
If it happens to u. You can take the broke line off, cut it in half, have it welded shut, put it back on. and go to where u can buy a new line. you might could bend it in half and hose clamp it folded to get you off the side of the road.
Had the same problem but it cost me an overnight stay and thanks to Northeast Diesel in Conn. I was on the road next day. home was Maine some 5 hrs away. Big disapointment
Cost me big time. I check them all the time now. Took the broken line to a welder and had him weld the flare nut opening closed so if it happens again i can screw it on the rail and run on 5 cylinders for a while till i get help.

I had #4 line break/cracked at fitting going into injector tube. stopped didn't shutoff and opened the hood fuel was shooting over the fender drove it to work 43.00 @ cummins. Replaced it in the parking lot @ work the cummins line had the clamp on it
My #4 line clamp has come loose twice. First time I just tightened the clamp. That lasted a little more than a year. The second time it came loose, I pulled the clamp apart and got a piece of 1/4 inch nylon hose (some of what I had left over from my water/meth injection kit), split it down the middle, slid it onto the injector line where the clamp holds it. I then put the clamp back together, used red loctite and tightened. Its been holding for over 3 years now with not a single problem. Dodged a bullet twice. I check it now and then to make sure its still tight. Worked for me!
Its probably a good idea to do even if its never loosened up on you and caused a line failure. Catch it early.
