What realy got me is all the junk was in the pump housing and not it the rest of the tank, so it could have only got there by the return line, but wouldn't that be after it went through the filter, the rest to tank was clean compared to the pump housing.

But give mighty diesel a call when your ready, it made me a great deal on mine, so now I have to go back to Tony for the next mods to come.

I think what kills the stock pump is the filter screen on them gets plugged and then they can't flow enough fuel to keep the pump cool enough. As a result the overheating eventually kills it. I know some people think that running one low on fuel has a lot to do with it too, because the pump wouldn't have fuel around it to keep it cool and it might, but with that said I run mine regularly down to the peg past the empty line. Or maybe I just got a good one and none of this applies. Now if I could just win the lotto
Also I will give mighty diesel a call when it gets time.
