Default 05 dash center trim removal

How do I take the center trim piece off the dash so I can take the stereo deck out on a 2006? Is there a screw somewhere for me to remove? It doesn't seem to move enough to just be held by the push fasteners. But there's not the usual cup holder/ash tray to slide out and remove the screws...I is confused.

Maybe some of that red carbon fiber stick-on crap needs to be peeled back?

If I remember right on my old 06 model single cab it popped right off. The first time always was horrible to get it off though. I do not recall any screws holding the trim on but I am not 100%

on my manual i had to take out the cup holders. Then once thats out there are two screws that hold in the flat piece behind the cup holders. Once you get that out there is two screws holding on the bottom of the dash bezel. thats the way mine is atleast. Once i had it takin apart i just left the two screws out that hold on the bezel so i can just pop it off later

Start at the floor console and work up. There are screws to take out.
