Default Brand New Motor!

So as everyone knew i melted the #6 piston on my truck. Well just stopped in yesterday and old motor is out and new one with a mfg. date of 3/29/09 was right next to it. Completely covered under warrenty and i should have it back sometime this week. So my question is what is the best way to break this thing in?

Hook to a trailer and work it for a few hundred miles.

Going to have tight tolerances, so keep the speed under 70 or 1800 rpms for about 500 miles. Don't over work it either.

I would hook to a 4-5K trailer or load 2500 Lbs in the bed and run it non stop except for fuel for no less then 24 hours one way, rest up and do the same on the return trip back home, that should seat the rings thus its more or less broke in. Broke mine in that way except my wife and I drove it for 36 hours non stop one way, it gets great fuel mileage and it has not used a drop of oil. I also left out to do the long drive after putting 1,000 miles on the engine Also I changed the oil at 1,000, 3500 and 6500 miles then back to normal oil change intervals there after.
