wheres the relief valve and the FCA located, new to common rail stuff, how do i test the relief valve?? thanks, and no way giving up on truck, its not mine it belongs to my roping partner, im the mechanic he is the welder, [ he is the heeler as well ]

Its on the cp3 with a plug on it Also check you vent tube on the top back of the fuel tank the plastic caps come off and theres a dip that catches dirt and water common I plug then off all the time hope it isn't the problem Good luck to your ropin buddy

FCA is the silver thing on the back of the CP3 with a wiring harness connection. Unplugging it on start will throw full rail pressure to the rail and it will rattle like crazy if it starts but might help narrow th search.

Rail relief valve is under the banjo bolt that connect rail return to the fuel tank retun lines. Its on the rail somewhere around cylinder 2 or 3. Follow the return lines just in front of the fuel filter cannister and you will find it. Remove the banjo bolt, bend the line away from the well,cleanout any fuel in the well then try to start or get it running and see if any fuel shows up in the well. You will have fuel returning thru the line you bent out of the way as its injector return.

ok i unplugged the fcv and still no fire, will have to check the relief valve when i get home, still have no other codes, and no fire,
