i would definatly get a mechanical guage for it. this way you'll know whats going on, and a guage is only like $15. wasting your money on a LP and it still doing the same thing would be bad, but in a way atleast you have a better one. i think its the sending unit though

Default BD Max Flow Lift Pumps

The BD Max Flow Lift Pumps are now shipping for the Cummins, Duramax is a few weeks away yet.

-Quietest pump on the market with 165 GPH.

Proven gerotor design reduces number of moving parts for greater reliability!

When you know the difference you will choose BD

Is this a new pump? Looks good.

After looking at the installation instructions for the 2003-2004 1/2, they messed-up a little, had to drill and tap extra holes to move the pump higher, then is it on the out side of the frame, if it was the inside the out side of the pump would be toward the fuel tank., also had to run the rubber fuel over top the frame between the floor and frame.

I'm just asking about the install, not getting down on your pump, the pump looks good, the install package looks complete with everything.

Yes it is new and no worries, any feedback is much appreciated, I am not sure if I am understanding 100% though; you are installing one of our Max Flow pumps and are having these issues? Or are you saying the instructions are incorrect?

First time poster on this site. I just replaced a LP on a 2003 5.9 QC that took a dive on me Wednesday. I ordered the whole replacement BD, and had no problems with the directions. The pump is very quiet, and it took a little longer being the first one I have ever done but im not sure to relace the other 2 trucks I have or not Before they go out on me as well? Both have in the tank pumps(05-07)? Drilling and tapping into the side of the frame wasnt easy with the crossmember in the way, so anybody doing it just take the CM off. I left as much fuel line as i could and only cut out a 10'' section where the pump was mounted to the inside of the frame. I dont remember having a problem with the bracket and the way it flowed. When done i turned the key a few imes to the on position, and she fired right up. Hope this info helps
