So I have narrowed it down to the valve guides. No pitting but I have no other idea where to look. Turbo and all other parts are good. Were you able to do the guides on the truck or did you have to pull the head?

you have to take it off and get a engine rebuilder to do them.Thats what I did

Round figure what did it cost for the labor and parts?

it cost me 2000.00 Canadian dollars
new seals and guide with a valve grind

Was that just the machining or was that with removal and reinstall?

that was everthing. but i just looked again it was 2200.00 sorry about the wrong price
machining , parts and labour
