Default White smoke on startup

I have an 06 with 170k, mods in my signature. In the last month I get a cloud of white smoke at startup and it a little at idle until the first time I hit the accelerator. From there no more smoke until it has sat for 8+ hours. It idles fine and no other systems I can find. Coolant is good and I'm about 1/2 to 1 quart low at a 7k oil change. I run Lucas injector cleaner ever 3-5k. I want to catch this before it becomes a problem. Any suggestions would be great. Also I'm limited on funds so inexpensive checks first please.

they will come back and tell you an injector is leaking. now the trick is to find it. you can verify by looking to see if the oil level has risen any. if not, they will tell you to drive it a little till you can replace them.

lets see if i have been reading these forums properly.

My oil levels have never gone up in this truck. I will keep an eye on it. Is this a replace all the injectors thing or can you track it down and replace the one?

im sure they can be replaced one at a time. but for piece of mind it seems people just replace them all at one time. but, personally i have not come to that bridge yet. im still reading and learning. they do sell them one at a time. and your prob going to get people telling you to not use remans or rebuilts. use new........even that comes in on a pretty price tag.
next they will tell you to keep an eye on it if it gets worse you will want to stop driving. but that seems to be when its dumping alot of fuel into the cylinder. which sounds like its minor at the moment.

you can do an injector kill test to see which injector is the problem. guys have fixed this issue before by putting new batteries in the truck. you can retorque the feed tubes in case they need some tightening up. i had some white some smoke and i ran 1 qt of non synthetic dexron ATF for 2 tanks and it cleared up the smoke. i also ran some TC-W3 2 stoke oil in my tank to help lubricate things. if you have 170k on stock injectors, i would start setting money aside for new injectors.

Thank you. I will try those.

I just got off the phone with a friend of a friend diesel mechanic. He told me i might have a turbo issue and have just enough of a oil leak that it is burning oil. Would something like that cause the smoke? Here is a video of the startup.

It also could be bad valve seals and guides.
easy to check . Take the valve cover off see if there any pitting
