hello everybody I am totally new to the diesel truck thing I just bought a 04 2500 4x4 works great problem im having is engine light comes on after driving for about half an hour and when taking off from a red light trans feels like its starting in 3rd gear problem is very intermittent usually happens when truck is at temperature never cold any thoughts?

mine did the same thing and it turned out to be the pressure gov. sensor.

 

I had the same problem also but pulled the electrical connectors off and found tranny fluid in one... Cleaned out the connector with brake cleaner and dried it and have had no more problems... Might check that since it's quick and easy
