Default 06 TQ locked up

I had the tq and trans replaced by insurance. Prior to this I had shifting issues, and the converter lockup problem; now all parts have been changed and the torque converter locks up still, but only after I drive in tow/haul. Sounds like I have some type of computer issue, just want to see if anyone else's has seen this problem?

Tow haul is programmed to lock the converter. Explain what is happening better! does it stall the truck out?

Sorry, no the motor loads up and the turbo builds pressure, I'm sure if there was more than a single disk tq it wold kill the motor; or at least try to. The tq is locked up full time; if you put the trucking drive there is instant takeoff; same in reverse. The whole system is new, even an orifice tube in one of the trans cooler lines. After the trans swap the problem didn't show up for three weeks. I had the same problem with the old transmission system. I even have had the wire harness between the trans and the computer replaced. I'm tired of paying for part swapping mechanical diagnoses.

Did they replace the Lock up soleniods? Is there a wire in the pan rubbed through?

I dropped the pan this weekend, and all wiring in that area and up through the were connects and leeds out looks as if there is no cracks or chafing. Is there a sensor I'm missing; I had the computer updated. Oh, the problem temporally goes away if you reset the computer by disconnecting the batteries for a little while.

The TC is not locking at idle, the solenoid is not activating. If it did it would kill the engine immediately. The solenoids are on or off, never part way. If the ECU senses a short in that circuit it goes immediately to limp mode and sets a CEL.

You have 1 one 2 possible problems. Either the sprag clutch in the TC has failed again and you have a no-stall TC, or, the trans pump cover is warped and it is bleeding pressur einto the TC lockup circuit partially applying the clutch.

Since it worked for a while with a new TC, it is likely the TC that is the issue.
