Default 06 Rebuild - Cam question

Been lurking a while but haven't posted but here goes....

Truck is an 06 2500 Megacab 4wd with a 6 spd. Has 138K miles on it - all stock, but has aftermarket 4" turbo back exhaust.

The other day I lost a valve seat, broke a valve. Damaged the others in #5 hole.

Talking to engine builder, he said since truck is stock, he has no problem rebuilding with a stock cam, but does offer Hamilton or Colt Big Stick if I am interested.

I know nothing of either of the aftermarket cams. One better than the other? Lift and duration are close on both.

Again, truck is daily driver, do tow a good bit, usually 10K or less. Only upgrade will probably be a Smarty Jr, but that is it.

Engine will be built with QSB480 pistons, so I know I will have to change injector tips.

Any pros or cons to the aftermarket cams?

Thanks.

Those to guys worked together, then went there own ways.
Make sure if you go with colt you are not buying a regrind cam.
Hamilton will be new. colt could be a used regrind. make sure
you know what you are getting.
