I have same year 2500 and been using Edge JWA and now CTS monitor which also has those safety features you spoke of to back down many areas when exceeding the normal levels. You can find MANY of these systems on sale used (even new ones) and even work a deal with Edge on a trade in of you buy one of the older models to send them. I only paid $400 for my new model after trading in the old unit - which you can find between $200-300 on many places (another Dodge forum) so think about that unless you already went w Banks!

Unfortunately I've already gone with the banks and wish I hadn't. Its good for milage but not impressive on power. I'm looking into getting a smarty Jr. Because I don't need on the fly after all
