Default Boost won't go over 20 on gauge

I've been working on raising the performance of my 2005 cummins. I now have smarty jr, mp-8, upgraded cp3, ii 100 nozzles, air dog 165, and afe stg 2 intake. Yes a built 48re also. For my gauges I bought the edge insight. I have noticed no matter what I do it will not hit over 20 lb boost. I know I need to upgrade the turbo, but the stocker has got to get me through winter. Can someone please help me find my issue with this!? Thanks

Are you using a actual guage for boost or tapped into a wire for the insight? Get a guage that has the line to the intake for a real reading. Did you put a boost fooler on it? That would do it. If you had a boost leak you would here it and see alot of smoke!

The insight just plugs into the obd2 port for gauges. I believe the mp8 boost fools along with adding rail pressure. The only thing is without the mp8 plugged in, running only the smarty jr it still only hits 20psi. I have read I should be capable of at least 35 psi with smarty alone???

just put the 3 pack glow shift guages(EGT 15k, boost 60 psi, and rail press.) on my 07 5.9 3500 4x4 thats pretty much stock accept for a few lil mods ive don..(4" turbo back, k&n cool air system, bd boost fooler, and not that it matters but silencer ring removed) been doin alot of research here lately to see if my guages were acurate and the best way to get the most accurate readings on anything i believe (after reading and reading) seems to be actual guages installed and "wired" or "tubed" directly to the piece of equipment trying to be monitored... google search ur ?'s and read the tons of threads on all the forums they have and make your own judgement... hears to you and the rest of the bombers out there
