I been digging through a bunch of sites..... you all seem to have your business together so here goes: I have a 05 Cummins 160K on it with no mods other than AFE intake and 4" cat back flowmaster. Truck has been bullet proof for the most part. Was pulling my toy hauler the other day got to about 400 miles pulling and it threw a check light. Went into limp mode and I barely got off the interstate. Put my code reader on it and had a P0148 fuel delivery error. I know this has been beat here but this seems different. Was in BFE so I cleared it and off we went running fine.......about 5 miles in same symptoms. Got off the road and did the same hoping to get somewhere close. Light never cleared but the symptoms went away. Currently running like a champ, no problems pulling up grades. Check light wont clear but absolutely no problems. I did all the easy stuff....filter, voltage to ECM etc. I can hear the lift pump running.........I almost want to ignore it but it was running in a bad way when this all happened. I don't want to be trying to run to CO elk hunting and have it take a dump on me here in another couple months. Thoughts???? Thanks much.

 

I have same problem.. but mine was self inflicted.. used too much vegi oil the lift pump doesn,t like it, can,t handle it . i believe i am running on the main injection pump suction. now and then it has to crank 10 times or so.. filter must be leaking little.. check engine light comes on now and then gives same code.. try putting new o ring on filter cap..my lift pump won,t pump and i can,t find a fuse. my fix will be new auxilary gear or piston transfer rail pump..
