I kno there is alot of 48re rebuild threads but i cant find sepcific info that helps me out with mine, im going thru the begining stages of buying a house but my trans is tost, i pulled it out of the truck last week to buy a built trans from a guy who wrecked his truck but the deal didnt work out so now i got my trans in the house . Any ways from all the reasearch i think ive got what i need narrowed done but yall tell me if its good b4 i spend the money.

My ultimate goal is 600hp. Round 500hp daily driving. I will get a billit shaft but cant at the moment, i have a smarty s06 i wana b able to play with it in the lower tunes with no issues ill add the billet shaft when i do turbos n cp3 and swap my 60hp sticks for 100s



Here are the parts i was looking at
-red alto eagle delux rebuild kit, stock number of frictions. kolene coated steels, kevlar band, billit band anchor, billet servos/accumulator, (i remeber reading somthing bout a billit piston but not sure). Gm preasure regulator, transgo shift kit but was told buy a shop not to..... And a tripple disk tc from revmax with a stock stall. All that puts me around 1,700$ for parts. Im gona do the build my self

What does every one think?? I need to order the rebuild kit by wensday so i can start on that then next friday order the tc.

 

Call Goerend transmissions and they will get you what you really need! Your parts list is good. Get a built valvebody from goerend or other reputable place! Overdrive unit will need a press to dissasemble. A few special tools but doable! If you have a good tranny guy in your area pick his brain and ask about a bench build price may be better to have a warranty piece of mind!
