Default was told it couldn't be done.

The other day I hit 200,000mi on my 07. I've kept this pickup longer than any other I've had. Still rockin the stock clutch and pump and all that other stuff. Barely did front brakes about 15k ago. Not a rattle or squeak inside either. I think I'll keep it around.

Oh btw this pickup pulls trailers on a regular basis.

I'm about betting you don't idle it a lot and you run fuel additives at least now and then.
You probably don't idle it to warm it up either and you plug it in on cold nights.
You also have at least an OEM in-tank pump, if not some sort of upgraded one.

2007 5.9s do have the "better" injectors, but even that is only half the battle.

I just picked up a long bed, 2003, 2500, Q/C, 4x4, 6 speed with 283,000 on it and it doesn't LOOK like it has ever had a line or valve cover off, much less a good engine de-greasing and it is just now getting the "long crank" symptoms of high return volume.

I think I'll like mine once I do injectors and some "personalizing".

Mark.

207k and still goin. I do have an injector or two on its way out but no biggie on a pickup with this many miles. Still on the stock clutch but the throwout bearing is starting to make a bit of noise. Just got back from a hunting trip where it was a bit cold and it started just fine. I almost bought a new pickup to take over the towing duty of this one but decided against it. Boy am I glad. Can't be happier with the way this ol gal is keeping up.

Just keep up the maintenance and you'll be good to go! One driver trucks that are driven maturally last a long time! But be realistic also nothing lasts forever and a stock clutch, injectors, and the lift pump will fail soon! Put a 2 micron filter inline before the
CP3 and the new injectors will last twice as long! Congrats and good luck but start saving for some much needed parts!

Meh, only needs parts when the old ones break. Haha. I've kicked around just throwing in a new clutch and replacing the sticks soon. We'll see. Not a big deal for both really. Just like a good friend of mine with his 99, I've had good luck. How many people do you know that work their pickup day after day and get 200k+ on a stock lift pump on a 99? Yeah it's all luck in the end.

I have a 01 4x4 dually that has 523,000 on it with only needing clutch,vp44 and some other small stuff through the years. The best I can tell they just won't die.

Update, went and put a new clutch and injectors in last Saturday. 215k ain't too shabby. Throw out bearing started to howl a bit and clutch slipped on a grade pulling. Figured it was time and since I was spending $ I went ahead and did injectors at the same time. When I tore it all apart I inspected everything and I'm good for a while again.
