Question turbo questions

I have a 03 2500, i just recently dropped a valve seat and im getting to the point where i have more money in the motor then i paid for the truck. Now the shop that is doing the work is telling my turbo is bad and the oil seal in the turbo is beyond repair. so the question is weither or not i should go bigger or just do a oem replacement? any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of questions for you.
Is your truck stock or moddified?
Do you pull with your truck?
If your truck is stock and you don't have plans on modding it, i would just get an oem turbo.
You should also think of checking on a rebuild kit for the turbo.Might be a little cheaper.
