Aeromotive was one of the pumps that did not like diesel fuel and leaked after a while...unless they changed something? You have to be careful with pumps, filters, and hoses with the current ULSD...it is not compatible with some manufacturers. Most off the rack fuel hose at a parts house will fall apart after about six months of use with ULSD...been there, done that.

I had an AD100, ran it about 35k miles before trading the truck last spring. I had a FASS 95/150 before that (one of the early "brushless" units) and only got 180k miles out of it. I liked most aspects of the AD100 except the hoses and connections, as they rusted very early on and the outer part of the hoses seemed to weather check.

Update for you guys and yes I know it has been longer than a week. I spun a rod bearing in my daily driver in October so I had to buy a new daily driver before I could get back to work on my truck. Good news is I just got my truck back yesterday from the shop with my new AD2 165 and I cant believe how quiet my truck is now. I mean my 5'' is still loud but my engine just purrs and runs really smooth its awesome. I will post again in a few weeks with any mileage improvements. As for power it seems to have better throttle response, but its definitely not a 10% increase as they claim. Thank you all for the advice you guys are awesome

Yup, I gots an AD2 165 as well now for a couple of weeks. I like it. It works. Pump is a bit noisy on the outside of the cab. But what electric pump isn't. I have ran the tank damn near empty and no issues with fuel yet.

Yea the pump is a bit noisey, but hell everything on the truck is a bit noisey I haven't ran my tank low, but I have to say on the higher levels of my programmer I do notice a difference in power when I stomp it. Its not a huge difference, but still a difference.

I have had my airdog 2 system for over a year now and have run it to empty a few times with no problems.

However.....don't have it at a 1/16 then park with the *** end of the truck higher than the front...... It does run dry.

Yea Im glad I got it and now I can move on to bigger and better things, because all these little stepping stone expenses suck and are unfortunately necessary in moving toward my goal. My poor empty wallet
