high trans temp
i got a 99 cummins auto and this is my first automatic. im just curious how high of temperatures are close to dangerous because i do a good bit of haulin. i got a banks dynafact gauge ranges from 140-320 i believe. usually while towin its a little under 200.
Sounds just fine. Transmission oil is heated by coolant in the heat exchanger, then sent to the cooler up front to cool down a little bit. Seeing as your coolant is 190*, give or take, anything around that temperature is fine. If you start seeing 220* or higher, it's time to be concerned.
